Safety
Safety is not a section of our work — it is how all of our work is planned and carried out.

Everyone who comes to a DEED-IN site should go home safe — every day, on every project, without exception.
Civil works, earthworks and concrete involve heavy plant, deep excavations, work at height and large loads. We respect those risks and manage them through planning, competent people and constant supervision.
Safety is a shared responsibility. From site managers to every worker and subcontractor, each person has the duty — and the authority — to speak up and stop work that is not safe.
Six principles on every site.
Simple, consistent practices — applied from the first day on site to final handover.
Plan before we start
Every activity is assessed before work begins — hazards identified, controls agreed and method statements briefed to the team.
Induction & toolbox talks
Everyone on site is inducted, and short daily briefings keep the risks of the day front of mind.
The right protective equipment
Helmets, high-visibility clothing, safety boots, gloves and eye protection — worn correctly, every time.
Safe plant & equipment
Machinery is inspected, operated by competent people and separated from pedestrians with clear routes and banksmen.
Excavations & working at height
Edges are protected, trenches supported or battered back, and access, scaffolds and formwork checked before use.
Tidy sites, protected public
Good housekeeping, secure fencing and clear signage protect our people, neighbours and passers-by.
Before, during and after every task.
Safe outcomes come from routine. These steps are part of how every activity is managed on our sites.
Before work
Risk assessments, method statements, permits where required and a site induction for every person.
During work
Daily briefings, active supervision, regular inspections and the authority for anyone to stop unsafe work.
After work
Areas left safe and secure, lessons recorded and improvements carried into the next activity.
Zero harm. Every day.
Golden rules for everyone on site.
Whether you are part of our team, a subcontractor or a visitor, these rules apply to you from the moment you enter the site.
- Stop work if it is not safe
- Wear the correct PPE at all times
- Keep clear of moving plant
- Never enter an unsupported excavation
- Report every hazard and near miss
- Leave your work area safe and tidy
Safety first. Always.Let’s build something that lasts.
